First Methodist Church is a Global Methodist congregation. First Methodist has been in ministry in Gatesville since 1854. Our prayer is that we will continue to be in ministry in Gatesville for many years to come. We believe the Global Methodist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe. Our worship services and ministries are designed to help disciples of Jesus grow in their faith and in their desire to be to be obedient to God in all things. Our members have a deep desire to make a difference in the world by sharing the Gospel of Jesus with others.

Our vision: Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the Global Methodist Church envisions multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ throughout the Earth who flourish in scriptural holiness as we worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly. You will find a group of faithful, loving, caring members here who will be glad to welcome you when you visit!
